Dietitians of Canada – The official site of professional dietitians in Canada. This site offers nutrition and meal tips, the Nutrition Challenge and Let’s Make a Meal games, virtual grocery store tours and much more.
Health Canada’s Food and Nutrition Pages – Look here for Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating as well as information on food safety, genetically modified foods and nutrition labeling.
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada – An informative site that includes the Heart Check program, recipes, information on fats and health eating.
Specialty Food Shop – Housed in the Hospital for Sick Children, this on-line store has all kinds of specialty foods for those on particular diets, including gluten-free products, specialized infant formulas, and low-protein foods to name just a few.
Canadian Diabetes Association – An excellent resource for people with diabetes that includes information on the glycemic index, fibre, fats, carbohydrates and eating out.
Osteoporosis Canada – this site allows you to find out your risk for developing osteoporosis and calculate your calcium intake on the calcium calculator.
