Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect K2-EDTA blood in contaminant-free tube. Specimen must be analyzed within 5 days of collection. It is recommended that Lead be ordered simultaneously to detect lead exposure. ZPP may not be a good indicator of lead exposure in women and children. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Whole blood is required. Do not spin. Rejection Criteria: Serum, plasma and Unlabeled samples will be rejected. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
