Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect sample in red or gold top container with or without gel separator. Heparin or EDTA plasma are also acceptable specimen type. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Separate serum from cells as soon as possible. Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled or samples of non sufficient quantity. Stability: Stable for 3 days at room temperature, at 2-8°C for 6 days and frozen at -20°C for 24 months Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
