Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: 24h urine collected in plain container without preservative. Ensure collection bottle is labelled correctly. Keep the collected urine refrigerated if possible and return to lab ASAP. Write your "start" and "end" date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Stability: Stable for 24 hours at room temperature, 2 weeks refrigerated and frozen at -15 to -200C for 3 months. Transportation: Send sample to SMH core lab as soon as possible. Sample Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled or leaking specimen. |
