Specimen Handling

Collection Instructions: Collect specimen in a sterile container. Indicate date and time of collection on requisition.

Laboratory Staff Instructions: Create an aliquot from the sample and Centrifuge before placing on automation line using the bypass rack.

Sample Rejection Criteria: Urine collected with acid / alkaline or leaking specimen will be rejected

Stability: Stable at room temperature for 1 week, refrigerated for 1 week and frozen -15 to -20°C for 6 months.

Transportation: Send sample to core lab ASAP
