Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect in Gold-Top Serum (SST), free from hemolysis, . Separate serum from cells within 2 hours of collection Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Stability: Stable at room temperature for 8 hours, refrigerated for 6 days and frozen at -20°C for at least 6 months. Transportation: Transport at room temperature ASAP. Spin if sample time of collection to time sample get to lab exceeds 2hrs. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Separate serum or plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection. Sample Rejection Criteria: Grossly hemolyzed samples, Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. |
