Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect Random Urine in a small orange cap container. Indicate date and time of Collection Laboratory Staff Instructions: Create an aliquot from the sample and Centrifuge before placing on automation line using the bypass rack. Urine random and 24h collection without preservative must be acidified to pH 1.0 with 6N HCl before analysis. Sample Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled or leaking specimen. Stability:Stable for 1 week at room temperature or refrigerated and frozen -15 to -20°C for 1 year. Transportation: Send sample to core lab ASAP |
