Container Type = 1 Green Top (LiHep)

Minimum Testing Volume = 2 ml whole blood

Pediatric: 0.3 mL Blood gas syringe

Tube must fill to at least ½ or greater of its vacuum capacity

Specimen Handling

Collection instructions: Collect sample in heparinized green top or in a syringe. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label.

Laboratory Staff Instructions Do not spin sample.

Rejection Criteria unlabeled or Samples of non sufficient quantity .

Stability: Stable on ice for 45 Mins.

Transportation: Send sample STAT on ice to core lab as soon as possible.
