Specimen Type / Requirements Container Type = 2 Tubes in Kit Tube must fill to at least ½ or greater of its vacuum capacity
Specimen Handling Collection Instructions: Collect samples on all days except before STAT holidays. Follow instructions as provided in the Harmony Prenatal Test Collection Instructions: . Completely fill the two collection tubes and invert 5 times. Place the two tubes in the absorbent sleeve. Place the absorbent sleeve with tubes in biohazard bag. Fold the gel pack (room temperature) over the biohazard bag. Write patient information, date and time of collection on the label provided in kit. Laboratory Staff Instructions Once all contents in the kit is verified, Place entire contents into silver protective pouch and seal. Place package and requisition in the box. Place kit box inside the plastic courier bag. Store and ship at room temperature. Rejection Criteria: tubes different from the ones provided in kit,Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: Stable at room temperature for 24 - 48hours, refrigerated for 7 Days. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible.
