Specimen Handling

Collection Instructions: 24h urine collected in plain container without preservative. Ensure collection bottle is labelled correctly. Keep the collected urine refrigerated if possible and return to lab ASAP.

Write your "start" and "end" date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition.

Stability: Stable for 8h at room temperature, refrigerated 1 week, frozen 3 months.

Laboratory Staff Instructions: Centrifuge to remove cellular material.

Sample Rejection Criteria: Leaking, Unlabeled specimens, or Non sufficient quantity (Not Sufficient Quantity) will be rejected.
