Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect 10mL random urine sample in a sterile container. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Special Instructions Centrifuge all urine samples before analysis. Samples should be within the normal physiological pH range of 5-8. Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled, leaky or Not Sufficient Quantity samples will be rejected. Stability: Sample is stable for 2 weeks at 2°C-8°C and frozen indefinitely. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
