Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect sample in red top tube. Please contact our Biochemist Dr Beriault on ext 2226 for approval prior to ordering this test. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Laboratory Staff Instructions Separate from cells within 2 hours of collection. Store and send frozen. Rejection Criteria Plasma, Gross hemolysis, Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: Sample is stable for 6 days at room temperature, 14 days refrigerated and 365 days frozen Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
