Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect Faeces sample in a sterile container. Refrigerated specimen must be received in SMH lab within 48 hours of collection. Provide collection date and time. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Send specimen in a screw-capped plastic container. Specimen can now be accepted daily. Store and send frozen. Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled or samples of non sufficient quantity. Stability: Stable for 5 days Refrigerated and 1 month frozen. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
