Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect 3mL of blood in red top tube for adults and 1mL in red microtainer. Record time of collection and time of last dose. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Separate samples from cells as soon as possible. Store and send frozen. Repeated freezing and thawing of samples should be avoided. Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled or samples of non sufficient quantity. Stability: Stable for 3 days at 2-8°C and frozen for 30 days. Transportation: Send to Core Lab as soon as possible |
