Container Type = 1 Royal Blue Top (K2-EDTA)

Minimum Testing Volume = 3 mL Plasma

Tube must fill to at least ½ or greater of its vacuum capacity

Specimen Handling

Collection Instructions: Collect sample in royal blue (K2-EDTA) contaminant-free tube. Avoid any cause of hemolysis during collection. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label.

Laboratory Staff Instructions: Separate as soon as possible and transfer plasma to polypropylene vial. Store and send cold.

Rejection Criteria: Serum, and Unlabeled samples.

Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible.
