Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect sample in red top tube. Avoid gold top (SST). The sample is preferably collected before administration of the next dose or at the same time in relation to dose administration to obtain comparable results. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Special Instructions / Rejection Criteria: Separate samples from cells as soon as possible. Repeated freezing and thawing of samples should be avoided Rejection Criteria: Gel separator, Grossly Hemolyzed and icteric samples, Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: 2 days capped at 20-25°C. 7 days capped at 2-8°C. 4 weeks capped at -20°C . Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
