Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Ensure both samples and requisition are labeled properly. Fasting sample preferred. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Special Instructions Centrifuge the tube but DO NOT OPEN THE TUBE OR POUR OFF SERUM. Rejection Criteria: Gross hemolysis, Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: stable for one week unopened. Samples are scanned and stored at 2 – 80C for 1 week. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
