Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect blood sample in lavender top (EDTA) at peak 2 hours after completion of administration of drug. Provide time of dose and time of collection. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Stability: Stable for up to 5 days at 15°C-25°C or 7 days at 2-8°C or frozen at -20°C or lower for up to 6 months. Transportation: Transport at room temperature ASAP. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Specimens must be mixed thoroughly after thawing and before testing to ensure consistency of results Sample Rejection Criteria: Serum, plasma or clotted specimens unacceptable. Specimens left at room temperature for >24h. |
