Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Serum or plasma, free from hemolysis, collected with or without gel separator. For plasma use lithium heparin only. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label.Laboratory Staff Instructions: Separate serum or plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection. Stability: Creatinine is stable for 4 hours at room temperature, refrigerated for 1 week and for 6 months at -15°C to - 20°C. Transportation: Transport at room temperature ASAP. Sample Rejection Criteria: Hemolysis and/or samples of non sufficient quantity |
