Specimen Type / Requirements Container Type = 24 hour container with 25 mL 6N HCL. Minimum Testing Volume = 5mL urine from mixed urine Collection
Specimen Handling Collection Instructions: 24 hour urine plain container or random urine container. It is important that urine is refrigerated during the collection. Random urine samples may be submitted for Citrate/Creatinine ratio to monitor therapy between yearly 24-hour collections Laboratory Staff Instructions An aliquot should be acidified with 6N HCl at pH 2, and stored refrigerated or frozen until analysis Stability: Stable for 14 days at 2-8°C and frozen indefinitely..
