Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect sample in gold top (SST) tube. If sending fluid sample, collect in a sterile container. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Centrifuge sample and place sample in special chemistry fridge. Do not seperate. Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled, or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: Stable for 7 days refrigrated and more than 7 days frozen. Transportation: Send sample to core lab at room temperature as soon as possible. |
