Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect sample in gold to red top tube with or without gel separator. Do not Repeat more than every 28 days. Repeat testing is not funded if assay performed within the prior 28 days. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Laboratory Staff Instructions Separate samples from cells as soon as possible. Ensure form is filled-out correctly. If funding criteria isn't met, paymant is required before test can be processed. Repeated freezing and thawing of samples should be avoided Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled or samples of non sufficient quantity. Stability: Stable at room temperature (15 to 28°C) for 8 hours and refrigerate at 2 - 8°C for 3 days. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
