Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect appropriate volumes of CSF in sequential order into four sterile, screw capped tubes consecutively numbered 1 to 4; Label container and requisition with patient information and specimen source. Maintan sterility. Specify which tube number to run test on. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Enter date and time collection in the LIS. Specify sample number in order comment. Stability: Stable for 1 day at 15-25°C, at least 7 days at 2-8°C and for 6 months at -20°C or lower temperature Transportation: |
