Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect sample in Serum with or without gel separator and EDTA or Lithium heparin plasma. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Special Instructions Separate serum or plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection Rejection Criteria: Gross hemolysis,lipemic, Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: CRP is stable at room temperature for 2 days, refrigerated for 2 month at 2–8°C and frozen at -15C to -20C for 1 year. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
