Specimen HandlingThis test is only done Monday to Wednesday between 0800-1400 hours. Draw Three 10mL Green Top Tubes, Invert tube several times. Label tube with patient's name and date of blood draw. Lab Staff Instructions: Do not centrifuge specimens. Send whole blood to referral lab ASAP. Sample must reach testing lab within 48 hours of collection. The WSIB Occupational Disease Specialty Program sends the patients to the outpatient lab with the requisition. |
