Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect random urine Sample in a sterile container. Collect and transfer in metal-free container. Provide date of birth and gender. Indicate "Random". Avoid seafood consumption for five days prior to collection. Assay measures Total Arsenic. If elevated, Inorganic Arsenic analysis will be performed, reported and billed in addition to Total Arsenic. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Laboratory Staff Instructions Store and send refrigerated. Rejection Criteria: Leaking, unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: Stable at room temperature for 1 day, refrigerated for 3 months and frozen for 1 year. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
