Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect sample in gold or red top tube with or without gel separator. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Laboratory Staff Instructions Spin and separate from cells within 2 hours of collection. Store and send refrigerated Rejection Criteria: Grossly hemolyzed, lipemic or microbially contaminated specimens, Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: Stable refrigerated for 7 Days and frozen at -20C or colder for over 7 days. Thaw samples only once. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
