Specimen HandlingCollection instructions: Ensure both sample and requsition are properly labelled. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Laboratory Staff Instructions Centrifuge and separate serum from cells within 2hrs of collection. Store frozen in -30C freezer near seperation bench. Rejection Criteria Highly lipemic or hemolyzed samples, Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: Room temperature: 7 days, refrigerated: 1 month, frozen: 3 months Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
