Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Serum or heparinized plasma collected with or without gel separator. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Special Instructions Separate from cells within 2 hours of collection. Rejection Criteria: Gross hemolysis, unlabeled or samples of non sufficient quantity. Stability: Stable at room temperature for 8 hours, refrigerated for 48 hours and frozen at -20°C or colder for 1 year. Thaw samples only once. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
