Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect sample in red top container. Sample must be collected in AM only Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Laboratory Staff Instructions SShip sample at room temperature. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Note: Specimen should be drawn early enough in the day to arrive at Sick Kids Metabolic Diseases laboratory by 1:00 p.m on day of collection. Rejection Criteria: Plasma, unlabeled, samples received after 12pm on day of colection or samples of non sufficient quantitity. Transportation: Send sample to core lab immediately for sample to be sent before 12:30pm on day of collection. |
