Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Serum or heparinized plasma collected with or without gel separator. Gently invert tube 5-8 times. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition. Special Instructions Serum or heparinized plasma free from hemolysis collected with or without gel separator. Separate serum or plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection Sample Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled or specimen of non sufficient quantity. Avoid multiple freeze - thaw cycles. Stability: Stable for 8hr at room teperature and refrigerated for 1 week and frozen for 2 months. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
