Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Serum collected with or without gel separator. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Separate from cells within 2 hours of collection. Allergic Lung Serology include both Aspergillus Fumigatus IgG Antibodies AND Farmer's Lung Precipitins. Rejection Criteria: Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic samples not accepted. Unlabeled or samples of non sufficient quantity will be rejected. Stability: Stable at room temperature for 8 hours, refrigerated for 7 Days and frozen at -20°C or colder for 21days. Thaw samples only once. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
