Volunteering at St. Michael’s

Volunteer greeters

St. Michael’s Hospital is under construction to enhance the spaces where we provide patient care. This includes the construction of the 17-storey Peter Gilgan Patient Care Tower at the corner of Queen and Victoria streets, expansion of the Emergency Department and renovations throughout the existing hospital.

In the meantime, construction and the changes it brings are making it more challenging for patients and visitors to find their way around St. Michael’s.

To help them, we are recruiting special volunteers to serve as greeters, guides and general problem solvers. Based in a lobby or other high traffic area, these volunteers will be invaluable to helping our guests successfully navigate our hospital during construction and beyond.

By providing needed directions and even walking people to their destinations, our greeters will serve an important role in making our patients and visitors feel welcome.
