Women's Health

The St. Michael’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Department is part of the Inner City Health Program, a program committed to patient-centred, multidisciplinary care, an integrated approach to community health as well as excellence in education and research.

The Women and Children’s Community Advisory Panel helps us meet the needs of our diverse communities. The department is fully affiliated with University of Toronto and provides learning experiences for residents, interns, clinical clerks (medical students), family practice students of nursing and midwifery. The department is proud to maintain robust, award-winning research activities and a strong, multidisciplinary, continuous quality improvement program. St. Michael’s was the first teaching hospital to participate in the Managing Obstetrical Risk Efficiently pilot project.
