Dr. Sherali RahimDr. Sherali Rahim started his cardiology practice in 2010. While in high school, he developed software for the Toronto Public Health department. He went on to graduate with the highest grade point average in his class at the University of Toronto earning a bachelor of Science degree. He earned his medical degree from McMaster University and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Toronto, a cardiology residency at McMaster University and a prestigious interventional cardiology fellowship at Mayo Clinic.
During his training, he received 18 academic, research, teaching and clinical awards including the Jeff Ginsberg Subspecialty Resident Award at McMaster University – an award given to the one resident at McMaster University who consistently displays outstanding performance in clinical rotations, excellence in teaching, research and exemplary professionalism and commitment to academic achievement. He has had numerous publications in high impact journals including the Lancet and the Journal of the American Medical Association. Dr. Rahim’s outpatient practice is at the Oshawa Clinic. He is the division head of cardiology at Lakeridge Health Corporation. He practices invasive cardiology at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and is an assistant professor of medicine at both Queen’s University and the University of Toronto.
