Critical Care at St. Michael's

Patient relations

We’re here to support you and your family with your experience at St. Michael’s Hospital. Having a loved one with a critical illness can be overwhelming. Our team is here to help with any questions or concerns you may have. We encourage you to speak with all members of you or your loved ones the health-care team, such as:

  • your nurse
  • your social worker
  • your physician
  • your unit clinical leader/manager (their contact information is found under each ICU page)

If you require more assistance in addressing a concern, our Patient Relations specialists are available for assistance.

Patient family advisors

St. Michael’s is always open to new patient and family advisors to share ideas and feedback on the patient and family experience at the hospital. Advisors also assist in generating new ideas on how to improve the overall experience. Learn more about how to get involved here.

Patient or family feedback

After discharge from the ICU, we invite patients and family members to take a few minutes to tell us about their experience. The survey below will take approximately three to five minutes to complete and assists our teams in improving the care for patients and families at St. Michael’s Hospital.
