Patient and Family Learning Centre gets new home
Toronto, September 3, 2014
The Patient and Family Learning Centre is moving to make way for upcoming construction for St. Michael’s 3.0.
As of Sept. 8, the PFLC will be moving from the Queen Street entrance to the Marketeria on the sixth floor of the Cardinal Carter Wing.
“We’re excited to have our presence in the Marketeria, a place often visited by staff and patients,” said Bridget Morant, a consumer health and education information specialist in the hospital’s Health Sciences Library. “We hope that our new location will help more staff, patients and visitors learn about our services and access the information and support that they need.”
The PFLC provides quality health information to patients and family members of St. Michael’s Hospital. Patients and family members can borrow books, DVDs, and audiobooks. Computers are also available for searching health information.
To learn more about the PFLC, visit the webpage or visit the Marketeria Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
The PFLC can also be reached via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
